Screen Shot

Please don’t laugh, but I just learned how to capture a screen shot. I’ve never had to do it before so I just didn’t know.  Seeing as we had to send a picture of our blog to Dr. Merrill, I figured I’d better learn real quick. Youtube…what a wonderful thing. A helpful little video and I was on my way. I’ve always wondered how to do it. Now I know.

  1. I am also a big fan of YouTube, despite the fact that we are unable to use it because our ISD feels that it should be blocked at the schools. It is so frustrating......however I have learned of a site recently that will allow you to change the format of a YouTube video so that you can save it and use it in the classroom without even having to access YouTube at school. Let me know if you are interested in the site and I will pass along the information!

  2. Yes, I am interested in that site. At our school, sometimes we can access YouTube and sometimes we can't. If I try to access YouTube for the district page, my chances are hit or miss. But then if I go to Google first and type in YouTube, I usually get in no problem.

  3. I just thought I would share some positive news with you. YouTube has also been an issue at my school as well, but recent desires for using it as an educational tool has now been granted. Teachers have been fighting to use this resources for a few years and it has finally paid off. Keep trying and a helpful suggestion would be to show the school board/administration the positive educational uses with it.
